Taizhou Medical City, also known as China Medical City (CMC), is located in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province.It is the first national level pharmaceutical high-tech industrial development zone in China. It consists of functional areas such as scientific research and development zone, production and manufacturing zone, exhibition and trading zone, health and medical zone, education and teaching zone, and comprehensive supporting zone. It is jointly built by the Ministry of Science and Technology the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the State Food and Drug Administration, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. The total economic output of Taizhou's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry has ranked first in the province for four consecutive years, and its economic benefits have been ranked first for eight consecutive years. 2010年2月25日，科技部、卫生部（后变革更名为卫健委)、国家药品监督管理局、国家中医药管理局与江苏省人民政府签约共建中国医药城,为在更高平台和水平上加快推进中国医药城建设发展创造了良好的环境。
On February 25, 2010, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Health (later renamed as the National Health Commission), the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government signed a contract to jointly build China Medicine City, creating a favorable environment for accelerating the construction and development of China Medicine Cityonahigherplatformandlevel.

2022年新设立的泰州市政务中心位于中国医药城，中心科学设置企业开办、工程建设、税务等12个功能区，共有70个市区两级部门（单位)，市区两级共进驻政务服务和便民服务事项1495项。中心持续深化企业开办便利化改革，加快推动市级政务服务资源向泰州医药高新区(高港区)转移布局，构建资源共享、互融互通的审批服务模式。
Thenewly establishedTaizhouMunicipal Government Affairs Center in2022islocated in China Medical City.The center scientifically setsup12 functional zones for enterprise establishment, engineering construction, taxation, etc, with a total of 70 departments (units) at both the city and city levels. There are 1495 government and convenience service items stationed at both the city and city levels. 113医药人才特别计划
“113医药人才特别计划",是泰州市委、市政府专门为中国医药城出台的人才政策,拟在统筹引进100名领军型人才(团队)、1000名高层次人才(团队)，3000名紧缺型人才,设立了每年2亿元的专项资金。入选后，给予项目资助 50~2000 万元，购房补贴 15~100 万元，生活补贴3\~30万元不等。截至2023年底，“113”已组织实施了十五批，为园区引进了409个项目，1731名人才。

中国医药城第五期标准厂房区，位于健康大道以南、学院路以北、横庄路以东、陆家路以西，项目规划总用地面积约391.4亩，总建筑面积约51万平方米，总投资约15.3亿元，建设期为2年,规划建设标准厂房28栋,其中药品生产厂房17栋,保健品生产大楼6栋，诊断试剂大楼5栋、综合楼1栋、危险品库和废弃物库各1栋、以及消防泵房和地下车库等生产配套建筑,其中标准厂房建筑面积约42万平方米,危险品库、废弃物库和生产配套建筑合计约0.5万平方米，综合楼约3.5万平方米，地下室约5万平方米，建成后可为200家左右的相关中小企业提供生产经营场所及配套服务。本项目以中国医药城产业发展规划为指导,以“企业集中、要素集聚、产业集群、土地集约”为目标，以标准厂房为主要载体，进一步完善中国医药城功能，促进医药制造区集聚区土地、资金、技术、信息、人才等生产要素的优化集合配置和产业集群发展。
